Objective

Provide a merchandise solution for Daimler Trucks North America. The solutions needed to serve all of DTNA's brands and locations throughout North America to include:  Daimler, DTNA, Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Thomas Built Bus SelecTrucks and FCCC.


Strategy & Execution

The strategy was to develop four merchandise platforms with slightly overlapping services and then cross train the Branding staff to enable DTNA employees multiple points for any of their needs.  Platforms include: On-Location, On-Site, On-Line, On-Demand.

On-Location 

Corporate gift store, named The Gear Box.  This retail store is located at Daimler headquarters and is stocked with fun gift items available for employee's, vendors and traveling dignitaries all embellished with DTNA brand(s).

On-Site   

This is a traveling platform to serve the employees in remote administrative and manufacturing facilities that are not able to conveniently visit The Gear Box.  Embellished merchandise brought to remote sites, set up for the day and made available for employees.  Think of a traveling gift store.

On-Line

ShopDTNA.com This is a robust website serving all brands;   Functionality includes: consumer orders, employee orders, group ordering, incentive programs, awards programs, special order, budgeting, CXML integration and punch-out.

On-Demand 

This platform is for anything and everything needed with any of the brand(s) that is made to order.  We work with each employee or department to understand their marketing/event/promotional need and then we provide the custom branded merchandise. 


Results

All of the above platforms are staffed by cross-trained Branding employees to provide a seamless ability to provide the needs of all DTNA employees throughout North America.
